Day 14: Feb 27th, 2011 – Yoga for Oneness
Yoga is about clearing away whatever is in us that prevents our living in the most full and whole way. With yoga, we become aware of how and where we are restricted -- in body, mind, and heart -- and how gradually to open and release these blockages. As these blockages are cleared, our energy is freed. We start to feel more harmonious, more at one with ourselves. It wasn't until I received my training as a Certified Yoga Leader that I began to understand the healing benefits of laughter. We all know how good it feels to laugh, but why aren't we laughing more? On average children laugh about 200 times a day, while adults laugh about 12 times a day. Everywhere we look there is pain, stress, worry, anxiety, depression, etc. Turn on the television to watch the news and it seems like every other news story is worst than the next.
